Corporate Terms & Conditions

Waterstones corporate gift cards are sold by Waterstones Booksellers Limited of 203-206 Piccadilly, London W1J 9HD (‘Waterstones’). All orders for corporate gift cards are subject to these terms and conditions; Waterstones reserves the right to refuse any order application without giving any reason.

You will receive your first order of corporate gift cards once your payment has been received in cleared funds. For future orders we will invoice you on dispatch of corporate gift cards provided you have cleared our credit control process. Payments should be made by BACS or by cheque made payable to “Waterstones Booksellers Limited”. All payments should be a remittance advice detailing our invoice number, date and total invoice value and should be sent for the attention of Waterstones Customer Accounts, Virginia House, Warwick Road, Olton, Solihull B92 7HX.

Waterstones corporate gift cards remain the property of Waterstones until paid for in cleared funds. Payment terms are strictly 30 days of invoice date. The right to charge interest on late payments at the rate of 1% per annum above the current base rate of Lloyds TSB Bank Plc is reserved. Any discount rate quoted may change without prior notice and will be forfeited on failure to meet payment terms.

Risk in corporate gift cards passes to you upon delivery of the corporate gift cards to your nominated address, except that if the corporate gift cards are not received by you within 5 days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) of the dispatch date shown on your purchase order and you fail to notify Waterstones, at the address below, risk shall pass to you on the fifth day (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) after dispatch. Any shortage on delivery must be notified to the address below within 24 hours of receipt otherwise it is deemed that the full order value has been received by you. Proof of delivery can take up to 72 hours to supply.

Waterstones corporate gift cards cannot be re-sold without the prior written permission of Waterstones. A separate agency agreement should be requested if gift cards are to be bought for the purpose of re-sale.

You are required to inform Waterstones of proposals regarding promotions, artwork and use of the Waterstones logos or gift cards and must obtain prior written permission from Waterstones before such images are used. Breach of this term may result in legal action.

Once purchased, Waterstones corporate gift cards are non-refundable.

Except as otherwise provided in these Terms, the Terms shall be the entire agreement between the parties in relation to the matter referred to within them and no other terms shall apply to them. No variation of these Terms shall be binding unless agreed in writing between Waterstones and the customer and signed by their authorised representatives.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the parties shall hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
